THANK YOU TO OUR TRUNK HOSTS!
Welcome, H.U.G.S. 2024 Trunk or Treat Trunk Hosts! We are absolutely thrilled that you have signed up to participate during this year's event! I just wanted to provide you with a few final details before the big day! Please read through these instructions in their entirety:
DATE: Sunday, October 13, 2024 RAIN OR SHINE
ENTRANCE: The event will take place in the BACK PARKING LOT of Woodland Hills High School; Please enter through the back entrance; You can enter 505 Glasgow Road into your GPS if you don't know the way to the back entrance (all other guests will be asked to enter through the main entrance on Greensburg Pike).
ARRIVAL/SET UP TIME: 12 PM - 1:30 PM; Please ensure that ALL OF YOUR participating vehicles have arrived and are in place NO LATER than 1:30 PM. Please have your vehicles ready NO LATER than 1:45 PM; You will NOT have access to electricity. Trunk Hosts MUST stay in place until the conclusion of the event at 4 PM.
YOUR TRUNK LOCATION: Trunk spots will be assigned. If you indicated a specific group that you would like to be near on the sign-up form, we have honored those requests. When you enter the event, a volunteer will greet you and direct you to your spot. Feel free to bring a pop up tent, chairs, tables, etc. You are responsible for bringing everything you need for your Trunk. The Foundation/H.U.G.S. is not responsible for any loss or damage. PLEASE SEE THE BELOW MAP. BLACK SPACES INDICATE EMPTY SPOTS. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know immediately so we can address any issues.
CANDY: Please be prepared to hand out at least 800 pieces of candy; in the event that you run out of candy, Trista, our "Candy Fairy" will be doing rounds to drop off bags of candy for you to hand out, when needed. So keep an eye out for the Candy Fairy and her candy wagon!
WEATHER: This event is RAIN OR SHINE; currently there is NOT (much) rain in the forecast but we encourage you to bring a pop-up tent/canopy should that change. You may also want to bring something to weigh down the tent (in the event that the day is windy)
COSTUMES AND DECORATIONS: Unique, fun, and family-oriented designs are encouraged. Creativity is good, but so is a simple Halloween tablecloth! Gore, weapons, horror, and showing disrespect to other groups is NOT PERMITTED. Wear a costume (if you want)! You may set up a table and/or folding chairs behind/in front of your trunk.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOUR PLANS HAVE CHANGED, YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO ATTEND OR IF YOU WILL HAVE MORE OR LESS CARS IN YOUR GROUP THAN YOU INITIALLY INDICATED.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know ASAP.
Thank you again for your participation and generosity! We are so looking forward to seeing you on Saturday!!!
